Artist Bios

Thomas Fedro lives and works in Mt. Prospect, IL just outside of Chicago with his wife Alicia and son Jordan. He attended Valparaiso University and The Illinois Institute of Art. Tom and Gino also owned a gallery for many years in Chicago. Currently, he is represented by galleries in the US and Europe and recent
special projects include pieces commissioned for the Broadway show "Rent", the 40th anniversary of "The Second City" and Chicago's "Cow's on Parade". Corporate commissions include pieces for IBM, Hotel Allegro in Chicago, historic Navy Pier and Washburn Guitars.

Gino Savarino
was born in Argentina on December 3, 1969. His parents migrated to Buenos Aires from Italy for a better life and in 1978 from Argentina to Chicago for an even better life therefore, he's fluent in Spanish and Italian. Soon after arriving to the United States, he needed some way to deal with the culture shock and for him the best way was through painting, drawing and listening to music. After graduating high school he enrolled in formal art classes for two years and soon after he decided to do things his way.

Gino does not believe there should be rules and guidelines in art. He adds, "If you truly feel what you've created comes from the heart, it's already a masterpiece. There is nothing more rewarding than to experiment with colors, shapes and styles, taking a step back when you're finished and having a sense of artistic accomplishment". This is why abstraction is the style of painting Savarino loves.

We feature two new pieces of art per day or until they're sold, but if you click on our GREAT DEALS page you will find more unbelievable paintings.

Are all your pieces hand painted?
All of our original paintings are painted with high quality paints on museum quality canvas. We also offer giclees. Our giclees are canvas transfers of our original paintings. They are printed on 100 % cotton canvas and only the highest quality achievable inks are used to last 100 years. A protected UV coating is applied. (please read description on each painting to see if it's a giclee or an original edition.)

Are all your paintings stretched and ready to hang?
We have both stretched and un-stretched paintings offered depending on your needs. See individual painting descriptions.

I only see modern art on this darn site. Do you sell traditional art?
Nah, we LOVE contemporary art and that's what we choose to sell. Besides, it is all the rage in decor trends!!

I really wanted the last featured painting, but it sold. Is there any way I can still get it?

Maybe, if you're willing to allow us to make a few subtle changes. You may also contact us at info@verybigart.com and we can have the artist paint a custom piece for you. It will be similar, but not exact. After all, our paintings are one-of- a-kind originals.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through Paypal. We also take money orders and personal checks. Once the funds clear, we will ship your painting right away.

Is there a shipping charge?
Nope, never. Unless you live outside the Lower U.S or Canada. These two countries are exempt from shipping charges. You pay nothing, zip, zero, nada! Heck, we'll even pay for shipping insurance.

A $65 Shipping charge applies to Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii. You will receive a seperate invoice for the shipping costs.

International buyers please contact us for shipping costs before buying.
